The much missed musical genius Freddie Mercury captured by Peter Hince. Peter knew the band and ‘Fred’ well, having been on the road with them from the 70’s until their last tour with Freddie at the helm. Peter was later to become a multi award winning photographer but before leaving he was persuaded by Freddie to stay on for what turned out to be the bands last tour with all 4 original members. These pictures from a photographer who had access and trust within the band which makes them unique. The picture of Fred at the piano and John in silhouette particularly poignant as Freddie is now much missed and John himself has disappeared into the shadows and is rarely seen.
