Film enthusiasts and collectors are invited to a special in-gallery event on Saturday 21st March from 1–3pm at our Edinburgh photo gallery, featuring internationally renowned film stills photographer Murray Close.
Best known for his iconic imagery from the British cult classic Withnail and I, Murray Close will be meeting visitors and signing a selection of his celebrated photographs from the film. His behind-the-scenes stills have played a key role in shaping the enduring visual identity of this much-loved cinematic masterpiece, which continues to captivate audiences decades after its release.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Murray Close has worked alongside some of the most influential figures in cinema, including Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise, Clint Eastwood, Keanu Reeves, and Stanley Kubrick, among many others.
