Chris Close is the winner of the Albert Watson Portrait award 2024/25. Several of his pieces are held in the National Galleries collection.

*Between the Lines is a unique portrait exhibition that has taken place at The Edinburgh Book Festival since 2019. This is a one of clearance of much of the work featuring some literary greats as well as rock stars, politicians, actors etc. Prints are priced at just £30 each (Brand new works can be printed for £120).

The work was taken from a simple outdoor studio and was also hung outside. It was simple concept that became part of the Book Festival. The prints are printed onto canvas and measure approx 17” x 30”

Amongst the people Chris has photographed are Ian Rankin, Brian May, Cressida Cowell, Ian McEwan, Ben Okri, Wes Streeting, Val McDermid, John Taylor, Wilko Johnson, Juno Dawson, Kim Sherwood, Ruth Jones etc etc.
